He is most well-known for his roles as Terry Watson in Water Rats as well as Alex Ryan in McLeod's Daughters, and as Matt "Fletch" Fletcher in Wentworth. Jeffery was born in Auckland's Howick and then moved to Australia at the age of 17 years old. He was a student at NIDA. He graduated from NIDA in 1993 and started his TV career on the children's series Ship to Shore.
